Woods Hall, Department of Anthropology,
University of Maryland, College Park

The Department of Anthropology at the University of Maryland-College Park offers a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and a nationally recognized Masters of Applied Anthropology (MAA).  Plans are also underway for developing a Ph.D program.

The MAA is a unique two-year professional degree program for students interested in the practice and application of anthropology in careers outside of academia.  The program is divided into three areas of concentration that represent the overlapping interests and expertise of the faculty:

One of the highlights of the MAA Program are the excellent opportunities for graduate student internships in the Greater Washington, DC area and elsewhere.  Visit the University of Maryland's Department of Anthropology website and the MAA Program website to learn more.
