The Center for Heritage Resource Studies provides a forum for investigation and debate of a variety of heritage issues through workshops, lectures, seminars, and publications.

Several recent events include:

The Center hosted two Advisory Workshops at the University of Maryland on Heritage and Heritage Resource Studies to assist in determining appropriate directions for the Center.

bulletThe Center also participated in a recent workshop on the Ename Charter ("International Guidelines for Authenticity, Intellectual Integrity and Sustainable Development in the Public Presentation of Archaeological and Historical Sites and Landscapes).

Upcoming events include with which the Center is associated include the World Archaeological Congress in Washington, D.C. (June 2003) and a World Heritage Conference in China (October 2003).  More on these as plans progress.
